The Grey Watches
Rosalyn was Hardwin’s wife, well liked, and oft envied. She has always taken a supporting role in the administration of the house, but this role has dwindled since the death of Hardwin and the coming of age of Martin’s sons. She is still a presence in the house, managing day-to-day operations when needed, and always available to entertain visitors as the de facto lady of the house. She has also taken Orianna under her wing to instruct her on the role of a lady. She is extremely concerned for the future of her son and daughters, and constant discussions of this subject with lord Martin have seen their relationship cool.
Rosalyn is pleasant and always eager to assist and give her opinion. Her charming exterior hides obvious concern for her and her family’s future. She has, of late, reined in her tendency to be outspoken, but this will disappear if the discussion relates directly to her children. Her counsel is usually sound, but is always informed by her traditional views.
